About
Thomas Hentrich (M. Th. Bonn; Ph. D. Biblical Studies, Montréal) graduated with a doctoral thesis on Hosea’s criticism of the Canaanite religion. He then served as JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at Kyoto University with a research project on disabilities and religion in the Ancient Near East. He has previously taught Ancient Near Eastern Religions at McGill University and World Religions at George Brown College in Toronto, where he also created an online version of that course. His interdisciplinary research project examines ancient medicine, especially questions of disability and purity laws in ancient Israel.
He is now the Assistant Coordinator for the Commission on Faith & Witness at the Canadian Council of Churches.
